Our mission
The main task in this project was the development and market launch of new chemical products for the maintenance and care of vehicles and accessories – in compliance with the chemical regulations of the import markets served. The aim is to ensure that all chemicals products in the portfolio can be sold worldwide on an ongoing basis.
Our work
The support of the project ranged from planning and preparation, development, production start-up to the ongoing support of after-sales chemicals products throughout the entire life cycle. We consistently implement the following work steps:
1. conception, development and release as well as lifecycle management for engine and transmission oils, chemical vehicle service and repair products as well as care and cleaning products in the end customer sector
2. consideration of market and customer requirements, competitors, environmental and health compatibility as well as country-specific hazardous substance regulations
3. controlling internal and external development partners and other interface partners (agencies, testing institutes etc.)
4. ensuring product and process safety via the responsible internal specialist departments
Our results
We achieved productive results in particular through a targeted exchange with the relevant partners: Products are now developed, branded and made available for worldwide distribution centrally in cooperation with suppliers. Synergy effects with other neighboring departments, which are also affected by product management of chemicals products, are used effectively. Ad hoc solutions for the elimination of non-conformities or subsequent product blocking due to changes in legal requirements were flexibly implemented.
Our know-how
Through the interdisciplinary know-how of our consultants, we created a sustainable increase in value for our clients. The well-founded knowledge of marketability, labelling and registration of chemical products supported a positive result.
Experience in aftersales product management including knowledge of customer-specific branding and CI requirements helped to successfully implement this project. Also the use of an extensive network for the clarification and validation of requirements regarding the hazardous substance legislation for new product developments.
