MIT is often used for automotive chemicals
MIT is a frequently used preservative that is found in cleaning agents, paints and varnishes, adhesives and technical lubricants, among other things. As a result, chemical products in the automotive sector are also heavily affected. These include, for example, car shampoos, rim cleaners and polishes, as well as interior and leather cleaners. According to Article 30 of the CLP Regulation, in case of more stringent classification and supplementary labelling symbols, the supplier is obliged to update the information on the label without delay, i.e. as soon as reasonably practicable.

Marketers face the challenge of promptly updating safety data sheets, labels and product registrations for all affected products after changes in classification and labelling.
